My 1995 Saturn SC1 was stolen and then recovered. The ignition switch was damaged to the point that you can start it with a key but not shut it off. Also you can not shift it out of park. Should a new ingnition switch solve the shifting problem?

 

It's a possibility, but it will certainly fix the problem of not being able to turn the engine off once you get it started
