Need : min 1 , 2 is fine.

-------------------

Min quantities are to refresh both sides for adjustment purposes. I have a brand new headlight capsule left over from the pair I bought 10 years ago for a day just like today , except the left side is still original...and they both need to be changed.

I might be able to clean up the adjusters and holes via tap and die but one of them is worn down and I am not optimistic. Too much play. Without the/a spring for resistance the sealed beam won't stay aligned.

I'm sure this problem is solvable in other ways, but the notch in the barrel of the capsule adjuster is the most straightforward.

Yes, I put a washer on either side of the fatigued metal and closed up the gap between the fatigued tab and the slot in the barrel of the adjuster and it stayed in for a while but it kept popping out because the adjuster hole threads had gotten sloppy.

Now I think the side adjuster actually broke into two because the wimpy metal tab was no longer yielding and neither were the washers.

So trying to go back to basics.
