The people that need to know what's going on in my life I simply TALK to them, or maybe a text or an email.

I don't need to spray my life all over the interweb to feel good about myself.

Actually I don't feel very good about myself, but now I'm getting off topic.

 

Ha! “Fakebook.” I still haven’t gone on it to post about my SL2. I’m doing every other single thing I can think of to advertise the car, hopefully with the result that I won’t Have to go on fb.

Oh, yes, social media is a mess. The potential for damage to people – from insult, to hurt feelings, to far worse – is horrifying.

And that’s as much opinion as I shall express on this public forum!

Thanks so much for your help and good advice. I posted my SL2 on my friend’s fb account, and got 50+ responses. I sold my car to a guy who wanted it to drive around town, as his other vehicle is his tow truck, which—towing—is his business. A nearly-ideal situation, to me! If I’d had no better offer, I’d have sold it to a flipper, or a stripper; but selling it to someone who will continue to drive it, and who will be easily able to tow it if/when one of the axels actually falls into the street — good all around!

I’m going to try and close/take down my ad here, but if it’s still up when you see this, please feel free to do it.

You helped me get my very good car sold, in a way that I feel did justice to it. It’s a good feeling, and a great relief. Thanks again.

Ha! Well, I can’t argue with that. I am still high on relief. Weird, but pleasant. Pretty soon I’ll take a deep breath and think, yeh, it’s all cool.
