Don't know about you others, but the forum has been conspicuously devoid of those well-intentioned yet decidedly rambling rants we've come to expect from our AMC hugging old guy (OA, not sure who's older).

Hope you are ok out there......

Ocean is older then all of us ........... older then dirt is what I've heard. Unc has been missing in action, and we hope he didn't run into a Hornets nest.

Maybe Unc has become the Ambassador for Kenosha and no longer has the time to spend with us.

I'm here! Being older than dirt has a tendancy to make it hard to get things done.
And stuff (the operative word is stuff) has gotten ahead of me. I'm just about caught up now. I stupidly agreed to restore a (as it turns out) a Murphy Rocking Chair. I hate chairs. They are so fidely. The problem was it was pretty and I am a sucker for pretty. And it came out (after a ton of work) prise worthy and I did. I wond a prise with it and then ----- stupidly bought another. All you kids out there, I'll be 70 this year and am beginning to feel it. I never heard of a Murphy Rocking Chair. In the space of 2 months I have had 2 of them. DANG!
I made 2000 wooden soap dishes! Yup, stupid soap dishes. They are selling well at a small cottage business I help run with my lady.
Damn! Can't complain, if you are gonna be successfull you got to work at it and my back is flat killing me.
I found out my operation ain't gonna happen. So I just load up on pain pills and abuse it which is the only way I can get things done.
And last week I finally got the motor mounts for my Mercury Marine motor so I can install it in my (AMC) Hornet Station Wagon. I have to pull the Inline 6 and the automatic and then the cross member so I can fab motor mounts on to it.
Once the cross member is fabricated and the Mercury Marine engine is installed with the 700R4 transmission the I6 gets a Dupont overhaul and a cam and a 4bbl and a cosmetic update and goes into a street roadster.
And the Saturn gets repainted and the sun roof fixed again.
I swore if I had to restore the thing one more time I would sell it. But the fact is, the thing is still a nice driver and I own it. It is hard to make something like that go away just because the paint looks like hell.
Anyway!
Waving and back at you.

Hey man, I can recommend some alcohol to go along with the pain meds. It doesn't make the pain go away, you just don't give a damn about it for a while! LOL

Another advantage of senoirity is type II diabetes, something I think is punishment for enjoying food. A steady diet of fruit juice is discoroaged. So in the AM when I go into stagger mode Boons Farm makes a cheap Sangria and a glass of that, my morning pain pill and a hand full of meds after about an hour I am ready for breakfast. Instead of contemplating what it might feel like to move one more time.
Raise the glass! Celebrate the morning! Life is good! Mostly because alternatives have a tendancy to destroy having fun.
I just not done playing with my toys yet.

You go, uncljohn! Experts say a glass of wine per day is good for you. They don't say when you have to drink it, so first thing in the morning sounds good to me. I've got a bottle of Sangria in the fridge right now.
