Default Two New Cars

The subject is ... What do you think of these two cars? It's not about you like Fords, will never buy a GM car again, no it's not about Saturn. Has nothing to do with the name they used for the concept. Simple, what do you think of these two cars?

First in red Chevy Code 130R

Second in white and silver Chevy Tru 140S

Will go into it more with anyone that wants to talk about them.

I like both for very different reasons

The 130 R makes me think of the bmw 1 series, and I like that. If it handles like it looks like it should be unbelievably fun. However, im worried that they are making it under-powered. 150 HP out of a turbo engine is not much. I pray it goes as well as it looks, and it is a small car though. i would love to test drive one with a 6 spd, definitely a good alternative to a camaro, especially if people wan the looks and speed but not the big motor. Electronic assist does not thrill me however - what fun is a rear wheel drive if you cant kick out the ***-end and slide it around a corner, and hopefully it handles good enough you can pull it back together with ease and go,
make a convertible and the car would probably fly off the showroom floors, but its like the miata, and if they want it to sell/compete its gotta go similar to one and be just as much fun to drive.

the 140S is very striking and a good looking car. Looks much better than the redesigned honda civic. Same engine I see but set up as fwd and also avaliable with a 6spd, which looks promising. Big tires hopefully means the thing is a cookie cutter around corners and stop pretty quick - or thats what there advertising. Back seats dont look to be too big, nor does the trunk, but the same sits here, with its low power rating im hoping it goes as good as it looks. That is one of the main things it has going for it, it looks like a tiny supercar imo. Add a 4 door variant and it might be a nice replacement to the cobalt. Looks as if it would be a fun car to drive, and a good car to be seen in.

Hopefully they offer more than one engine in both since 150 hp seems under-rated. It looks like they are trying to build it for fuel economy since both are estimated to see 40+ mpg, and I fear if they do that it would be like the non turbo Hyundai veloster - looked good, but our saturns could beat it without a problem and they wouldnd get popular (think of the astra)
I like the concept alot, lets hope the end results are just as promising.

I like the pretty red one better! LOL Seriously, I think it's a better looking car. The 140S looks too much like a Toyota to me. I think the 130 R is a little over priced, but then again, I'm a cheap bastard.

130R, as commented in the vid, looks like a chopped camaro.
I'm sorry but if RWD it needs an engine option over 150HP --though we don't know what it weighs.....

Can't get into that white thing much -- looks like one of those women in the Trojan Vibrations commercial whose hair got blown back

They are not bad looking i guess. To me the the 130r kinda looks like a cross between a new camaro and a pontiac g8. Looks like it would be a good buyer for the younger group. The 140s to me looks like a cross between a tc and a lambo lol. And again looks to me the younger greneration. I like the use of the turbo on the smaller ci motors. To me it leaves some room for an HP increase if the buyer decides. It seems to me a lot of the "new" concept cars coming out and older concepts as well dont look very american as far as design. So thats my $.02.

Engine option is a must....not another optionless under powered Astra/Cruze please. Weight 3k or less and 190 would be ok, just ok. I'd dive either one of them...both have a look I like.

I think that if they made trim levels similar to the camaro it would be a successful car.
Maybe make an economy 150 hp RS that might be slow but fun, 200 HP SS ( bring back the LSJ lol), and some ***** wild 2SS that makes like 250 HP or something or maybe drop the camaros V6 into the RWD one. Now that would be cool

Agree...........155hp non turbo, 190hp non turbo, and 260hp turbo, all four bangers would be just fine with me if they stay at 3k or less. GM has the ECOtec engines to to use on the shelf. 2.2L@155hp, 2.4L or 2.5L@180/190hp, and the 2.0L turbo. They could use the 1.4L@138hp turbo thats in the CRUZE to be the gas mileage king.

I think these are the two best looking compact 2dr's GM has come out with in years. A rear drive compact with 190hp or more.......Fun Runs Deep
