Scan Tools

Scan Tools
I have been doing with out a scan tool for quite some time. No need really, OBD-I level logic will spit out error codes by following a self-energized procedure by counting the number of times a light blinks on the dash. But I have gotten to the point where having one might be a good idea, scan tools have come way down in prices thus making them an affordable tool. Well some anyway for the home or shade tree mechanic.
But recently one I was considering very carefully stated in the fine print that it could not be used on Saturn S series cars.
It was an OBD-I/OBD-II tool with features that I would use and it fit my budget. But the restriction on Saturn S series caught me by surprise. Does anyone have any idea why?

So dd I, but printed right on the applications on the box it comes in, a product from O'Reily's is the restriction. A quick Google check seems to come up with a problem with the P0141 code, but I don't see at the moment where that comes up with a restriction and I am not concentrating too well this time of night to pursue it further. So I think I will go back and get the model number and do further research
