My Camera MOunts
Ok thought I'd post a few pics on my camera mounts.
Set up with two cameras is a painted piece of wood mounted to the headrests of the ION. Just pull headrests mark holes and drill. Slide head rest through holes and back into the seat. Very steady mounting system.
I bought a small KODAK vid camera. Wanted a system that would work both in the ION and the Solstice. I wanted the mount to be no farther right then the center of the dash, and no farther left then the center of the steering wheel. After trying a suctioncup glass mount I found it to be big/bulky and obstructed my view out the windshield. Same thing I found with a goose neck glass mount. That led me to start digging in my roller chests to see what I could come up with. Well this piece of foam did the trick. Works in both cars. It's not in my line of site. Does not vibrate when going down the road. Easy to move from one car to the next. Stays in place as it's stuck between the dash and glass. Evan mounted the camera remote in a handy spot.

Let people ride with me .... let people move my seat .... not a chance in hell. Ok so maybe I'll let someone ride in the car.
PS: I found I had this ..... no idea where I got it from. Maybe from when my guys cleaned out a w-sale car. But it works and is small so it's set up for the Solstice.

Nice setup - are those lens attachments on those cameras or are the lenses interchangeable? They look like sonys.
I wanna get one or two go pro cameras and mount one in the fog light hole and put a few more mounts around the car.
When I had my 60D set up for something I strapped the tripod in the back seat with all the seatbelts and operated it via remote- never moved an inch. Looked absolutely rediculous though
