So, does it have a manual trans or an automatic? I can't tell by the picture...

The transmission is a standard shift. In the bottom right of the pic is the mounting ears cast into the block for the stock location of the shifter cables. It was a real trick getting the shift pattern just the same as in the car. You will see in the pic that things are not welded solid but just tacked down. I learned the hard way that you tack and test before you weld it 100%. A lot easier to take back apart if things don't go as planned.

Sugarcreek Township is located in Greene County Oho. Around 10 miles east of Dayton.

In regards to learning to weld it is one of the most useful thing that I have ever learned how to do.

A couple of pics of the wiring nightmare. The box with the relays is so I can use the standard HD handle bar switches.
