Default Going through my photobucket...

I uploaded some pics and decided to check out some old ones... I come across an old project...

Name: P11-27-11_14-041.jpg

Size: 55.3 KB

I built it in welding class(high school), using scrap metal and a vague sketch of the idea... Nobody could envision it working until I rode it around the shop as a proof of concept...

...it barely fit in the bed of my old Ranger, I had to slightly deflate the rear tire to close the tailgate...

My center of gravity, and pitman arm/tie rod design limited cornering severely, but it was remarkably stable at speeds approaching 35mph...

Opinions?

It's "1 of 1".......

The classes were taken at Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center(partnered with my high school) and they start every fall and spring... I learned four major welding processes and even have some experience with non-ferrous metals(Al), not to mention numerous machining and cutting operations...

I actually ended up giving the bike(I called it my doomsday machine) to the neighbor kid, who proceeded to ride the crap out of it until the main subframe weld broke and I couldn't repair it due to lack of equipment...
