Default Goaliemo's new toy

06 Honda Rebel.
8k on it.
Doesn't run, yet.
First non Saturn I have bought.
I only bought JDM because I would cry if I dropped a Harley, I need to learn on something. I couldn't think of a better beater than a Honda

I do not. My uncle has been riding for 30 years though. So he knows A LOT. I don't mind learning though. Shouldn't be to hard.

Nothing against Hondas, they make great products, I just support DM being I am proud of where I live. All my vehicles are GM. Every car my parents have owned has been American built. Just how I was raised. Like I said, nothing against em, just personal preference. The guy was selling this and a shadow 600 I believe.

Don't knock Hondas. I owned several over the years when I was younger and crazier. I had a V-45 Magna in 83 that I would ride at over 130 mph on the interstates around Nashville. I decided that if I kept it, I'd probably die on it, so traded it in on an 84 Chrysler Laser XE Turbo. Loved that car. It was faster than the bike! Honda makes a fine motorcycle, so don't be ashamed at all Billy. And when you want to get rid of that one, you let me know.

I'm not ashamed, just saying I want a Harley, but I need to start small. This is only a 250.
Charlie, youre the second person to tell me that already. I haven't even owned it 12 hours yet. lmao

I agree with derf about the helmet. I call those fools that don't wear them "organ donors". I ALWAYS wore a full face one. I know it's just a 250, Billy. That's why I'd like to have another one. I had one for a while back in the 80's, but also had a Suzuki GS400 at the time that was more fun and lots faster. I sold the 250 to a buddy and after he laid it down (stoned) he wanted me to buy it back. I offered him a hundred bucks and he got pissed! I told him I didn't want a skinned up bike. It was in excellent shape when I sold it to him.
