Charlie, if you are gonna need both replaced (if one is not far behind the other) and your wife / relatives can take care if you for the first six weeks and get you up and walking again, get them both done at the same time. Anyone who suffers through the pain of one knee replacement never wants to go through with the second.

No, the right one is just fine, derf. It's the left one that has absolutely NO cartilage or cushion left between the kneecap and the bone. I've tried the synvisc injection and it only gives a few weeks of any kind of relief. I'm a tough old bird, so will just handle it the way I always have. Ignore it and suck it up. I'll eventually get to a place where I have no choice but to have surgery.

I have arthritis in 1 of my knees since I was about 15. Sucks butt

I have it in both hands/wrists and my left ankle. Years of playing hockey, and not letting injuries heal.

I've never broken a bone in my life...not sure how...maybe a toe...lol
