Default Driving Fast

Hey,
I stared this thread cuz i was kinda bored and curious. I wanted to know, what is the fastest you have driven or rode along with someone. I can say first hand ive done 115mph and rode in the passenger seat going 130.
How bout you???

About 140 in my 84 Chrysler Laser XE turbo back in 1985. 130 mph on my Honda V-45 Magna back in 1984. Yep, I was young and single back then. Marriage and kids will definitely slow a sane man down. I don't know what the hell happened to me!

I've owned a number of cars that flat out were maxed at about 115. The fastest I can remember driving anywhere was about 120 but the cars were capable of better than that. I guess I get a bit squeamish thinking of questionable tires much past that point. So I had rather not push that button. I have been known to cruise right along at the magic C note for long distances though.

About a 135 in a 2007 Saturn ION Redline, then I backed off. It felt like it had another 5mph left in it, but I didn't have the room to keep going.

Ha yeah i think thats one of the biggest things that makes me uneasy is the tires on the car. I may do triple digit speeds for 30seconds at the most but then i have to let off. When i lived in Germany though i recall riding in the passenger seat doing 110mph for about 5-7min on the autobahn. Crazy thing though is that other cars and motorcycles are still passing us doing at least 140-160+ passing us like we were going in the opposite direction

Ive hit 130 in a CTS-V. Fastest ive managed to get the saturn to go is 110. Ive hit the speed limiter in the F350 a few times too lol (96 mph).

being a passenger, I know ive ridden in my friends bmw doing 105, 140 riding in a CTS-V. I know ive ridden fast in other cars but forget how fast, and what cars lol

Many, many years ago coming down the hill from Barstow, CA into Las Vegas, NV. '56 Ford with bias-ply tires, I managed to get to about 110 (estimated, cuz the speedo only went to 100, and I was past that and laying on the peg). Back then, speed limit in that area was "reasonable and proper". Here in Mississippi, local law enforcement gets highly incensed if you "let the ponies run", so I keep it close to the posted speed ...

I have been down that hill in Barstow many times before. I lived in vegas for about 10yrs. But i remember riding with my mom when i was a teen and she would put the car in nuetral and let it coast down the hill at about 95ish mph all the way to the bottom
