Default Christmas Message

Merry Christmas to all of you and a Happy New Year too. My wife had a total knee replacement on Dec 5th and came home on the 7th and was doing great. Sunday the 10th, I couldn't wake her up and when I finally did, she was very scattered and incoherent. Our daughter suggested we check her BP and it was extremely low. I called 911 and she spent the next 9 days in the hospital. Seems that she'd had a heart attack! Anyway, I brought her home on the 19th and she's doing great. The doctors at Grandview Hospital in Birmingham did a wonderful job. I'm telling you all this so you'll be reminded not to take things for granted as they can all change in a matter of seconds. Be grateful for what you have and tell the people you love, that you love them. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed for any of us. I love all of my peeps here and want you all to know how much I appreciate you and all the help you've provided to me and others that have come here over the years. Peace, grace and mercy to you all. We'll be celebrating Christmas late this year as Reatha just isn't up for it right now. And that's good with me. I've got my true love home and that's what counts.

Merry Christmas to all, so glad to hear that you still have Reatha with you. We have also had more cancer surgery this week. They took part of Linda’s left lung to remove a tumor. It was the same cancer as before, which is what they said any further cancer would be. It has been a long month leading up to this week and will be a slow recovery, but she is better each day. There is hope for the new year!

I'm happy to hear that Linda is doing well, Andy. I think we can ALL agree that 2023 has not been that great of a year. I know I'm sure going to be happy to leave it in the rear view mirror. And that's very cool about the 68 pickup and the project. We're all going to want pictures eventually, you know.

That's awesome, Andy. A friend of mine I grew up with had a 68 with a similar color to it and he was in the process of restoring it when he died last year. I have no idea what happened to the truck. I guess either his son got it or one of his brothers.
