Default Cars you've owned...from your first

Hi Guys,

I haven't seen this here or on other forums, so I'd thought I'd toss this out there and see who's had what in the past, starting with their first rig. I've had bunches, mainly because I cut my teeth on 20 cent gas, and $50 dollar cars, and when you needed say, a starter for a Bug, for an extra $20-$25 bucks you could get the whole wrecked car (to be returned to service later). Here's mine in no chronological order other than my first.
'56 Anglia, '63 Anglia X2, '59 Hillman Husky X2, '66 Husky, '56 Mercury Montclair, '64 T-Bird, '65 Sunbeam Tiger, '66 Tigers X2, '65 & '67 Alpines, '56, '63 X2, '66, '67, '68 X3, '70, '71 VW Bugs, '67 X2 VW Square backs, '65, '66 X2, '68, '70, '71 X2, '72 VW busses, '69, '70, '71 142S, '69 145, '72 144 Volvos, '68 & '71 Javelins, '69 AMX X3, '70 AMX, '71 Lincoln Town coupe, '86 Escort wagon, '86 & '88 Sable sedans, '89 Sable wagon, '96 Regal GS. With the Bugs, I've had a ton of bodies and frames.
And only because they were free, '69 Subaru 360, '69 Datsun 210. PAX

Let's see...
Age 14- 1991 Pontiac firebird... Bought dirt cheap with a TPI 305 with a ventilated block... Swapped in a built 350(.060 overbore, 272 cam, 4bbl), then practically gave away...

Age 16- 1988 Ford Ranger S, 2wd, 2.0/5speed... Inherited from my grandfather, drove for about 50k, modded along the way, then sold to a friend who wrecked it...

Age 19- 2005 Suzuki Forenza S, manual trans... First car I bought myself... Had 48,009 miles at purchase, then it was ruined by an incompetent mechanic, I traded it at 64,530 miles...

Age 19- 2000 Saturn SL1, automatic trans... Bought for my wife after she wrecked her tracker... She proceeded to run it out of oil multiple times, it spun a rod bearing at 95,230 miles

Age 19- 1995 Ford Ranger XL, 2wd, 4.0/5speed... Bought to replace my old ranger... I still have it...
Age 19- 2002 Saturn L200, automatic trans... Bought for my wife to replace the S series, it had 250k on it... A few short months later, it died with 262k on it... Timing chain tensioner/guide failure..,

Age 20- 2011 Chevrolet Cruze 1LT, turbo, automatic... Bought for my wife to replace the last Saturn... Traded in at 50,750 miles when coolant usage issue was discovered...

Age 21- 1995 Ford Taurus GL, Vulcan powered... Bought as a winter beater, was an incredible deal(rust free and needed very little) for $800... Sold to my mother, then she wrecked it

Age 21-2015 Subaru Impreza 2.0i... Bought for my wife to replace the Chevy... Had 35 miles when the paperwork was signed, has nearly 11k now, less than six months into ownership

Age 21- 2004 Saturn ION RedLine, ZZP-S3... Bought for myself because I didn't care for the Taurus... I have put about 10k on it, not exactly trouble free, but the car's awesome when it's right!

Not so much weather as driver incompetence... My friend (a flat lander from OH)dropped off the edge of the road, jerked back on and started fishtailing... In that old truck(manual steering), it was extremely difficult to dial in enough opposite lock quickly enough on asphalt to correct a slide... I only got it loose once, and went 180 degrees and landed in a very shallow ditch; he went 15 feet over a creek bank and landed on a boulder...

My mom fell asleep at the helm of the Taurus, and jumped a 3' deep ditch at 45mph... All sheet metal intact, but all the underlying metal was ruined... That, and the airbags deployed...

The rest was mechanical failures, or botched maintenance(or lack of checking oil in an S series)...

I will give credit to that SL1 though... I personally know of at least four times my wife would tell me about the light coming on, she driving the remaining five or so miles to town, and buying/adding oil... When I asked about the quantity, she would reply, almost four quarts... That engine was a tough SOB...
