Car manufacturers really making me wanna get out
There really is nothing to get excited about these days with new cars coming out.
I was pretty stoked about the new tundras, they sounded awesome on paper.
We had our first one delivered yesterday. And meh. Wasn't so impressed actually seeing it.
I work for Toyota for those that don't know that.
Stellantis is discontinuing not only the Challenger, but the SRT division.
Jeeps arent jeeps anymore. Who hears jeep and thinks luxury? C'mon now. I'm not spending 70k on a Wagoner that I cant do cool off roading in.
I'm about tired of this EV talk. How lazy can the human race get designing cars to drive themselves so they really dont have to lift a finger.
I really think I'm about done with the auto industry.

Depends on where you're driving and the purpose. I've had a few epiphanies about cars and driving since my youth. 1st came after my license was stolen by my (alleged) evil twin. I had to flag my own license for 3 mos. whilst the law enforcement agencies tracked him down. During that time, I had friends and family drive me to work and shopping. I have to say; I enjoyed it; a lot. Didn't have to worry about commuting; I could actually relax and while somebody else drove. My Mom really liked it as she would drive my Malibu while I was working. So I can totally get the self-driving thing for mundane tasks like driving to work every day.
Another epiphany came when a workmate told me to park my Malibu and get another vehicle for commuting. I was very naïve back then; so I told Charlie some not-so-Christian words; and followed it up with "I'm gonna drive this car like it was intended to be driven!" A few years later; after selling that car because of the abuse of daily driving it; I wished I had followed Charlie's advice. When I got my 1st Ford Ranger (3.0L/T5), it was like a huge weight being lifted off of my shoulders. I wasn't worried about the abuse it would take with daily driving; or even the numerous junkyard runs I would take with it. When it got T-boned and totaled; and the kid who ran into it was being a turkey; I didn't care. I waited for him to finish and asked how he wanted to do this? His insurance totaled it; and paid for my S-10. Point being; I realized that an affordable and reliable daily driver need not be pretty; just needs to get the job done. If I wanted to have fun; I would get/build a weekend cruiser.
Yet another epiphany came when I was sitting in traffic one day coming home from work. My Malibu at the time had just undergone some mods and was sounding really good. While it was thumping away in traffic; I realized that any and all power gains I made are absolutely useless sitting there in summer traffic. That's when the electric vehicle idea became a bit more feasible to me. If there was an ugly affordable self-driving electric vehicle out there; or something that I could build; I would without hesitation buy it for everyday commuting. Then I would drive the Crown Vic on the weekends.
