It's actually going to get an l61 for now. Scored a deal on a complete drivetrain out of a j body for $400. 121k on it. Which is 20k less then what this car has on it from what I remember.

Still haven't completely decided what direction I'm going to go with it yet.
Leave it stock and get it back on the road. Slap some cams in it with an exhaust and le5 intake manifold. Turbo it, since I have just about everything already.
BUT, I do have just about everything to do the 5 lug swap. Need new brake lines, and probably rebuild the calipers to be safe.
Also need to look at the steering in it. Think it needs a column.

Yep, see above. Slight change of plans. The lk9 I have needs a head. And if I'm going to have head work done, it's already ported and polished. But I'll want to upgrade everything else.

Business is rolling. Debt is dwindling. Estimating to be debt free by end of 2025. Including vehicle pay offs.
We're getting married in October. Things a lot different this time, for the better.
And she's been behind me on the business and this project since the start.

Lsj questions, are you using the dual mass flywheel? I bought a 6+1 tone ring for my lsj, wouldn’t that be easier than an external? I think I can run an L200 pcm with a flash so it recognizes boost on the map sensor. The place that makes the tone ring is into Ecotec’s in stock car racing, they flash pcm’s to kill security and rev limiters.

Glad you might be something for fun!

I won't be running the 03 ion electronics. I have just about everything out of a redline. Engine harness, PCM, cluster, bcm, dash harness, and body harness connectors. Either way I'll either have to trim a redline body harness, or repin my harness.
i don't have electric locks or windows. So all that can go. Kinda why I'm leaning towards repining my harness. Not a lot of differences, but enough.
L200 is tuneable last I checked on hpt website.
And no, just the stock lsj flywheel

The Saab T LSJ came with a dual mass flywheel. Both the flywheel and clutch are blown up. The engine ran fine in the Saab. It is on a stand in the corner, the f40 is under the bench. L series uses the f25 axle spline count the f35 and f40 have the larger splines so axles will be a chore of locate Saab 95 hubs/control arms etc. Might just use The stock trans and axles, wait for the boom!

Same flywheel pattern as the lsj, which is why I'm going with that. Already have a brand new kit on the shelf. But I'll be keeping the f23. Just need to use the f23 TOB. Not sure if I need to use the trans spacer or not. Don't remember

Found someone one CL selling some brand new axles, end links, struts, and sway bar bushings for a 5 speed cobalt. $100, I'll be grabbing that Sunday. All I need is the axles and end links, and honestly the axles itself is worth the hundo to me. Not the brand I wanted, but I'll worry about upgrading later. Just want to get it rolling for now.

Well. Set of brembos off a turbo cobalt scored for $100.
Need to get a stencil so I can repaint them. Or maybe I'll have em powder coated. Don't know yet. I'll worry about that later. May as well get a fresh set of lsj calipers for the rear.
ill probably pick up a fuel pump this week so I can finish getting the rear of the car back together. I'll more than likely use a zzp/ottp fuel pump rewire kit with it. If it'll work with my 03. Otherwise I'll make my own.
Not far from making this thing a roller again.

Good good good in the area.

Are most of your LSJ parts from Bones?

Have you ever done tail of the dragon?

Get that thing rolling and maybe I'll get my white car fully up to the task. I have an irrational desire for a turbo these days.

Some are from bones. Haven't talked to him in a while.
Still trying to figure out what I'm going to do with this l61. Really thinking just a few bolt ons for ease and put the money into the aesthetics. Need to find a set of quality lowering springs.
Nah, never done TOTD. One day I'll get there.
