Thanks to someone posting a notice on GM news i saw that GM has extended the warranty on the 6T70 transmission to 10 years and 120k miles. I went a Chrevrolet Dealer and verified that it is true. They were very helpful . The service manager entered my VIN number and printed out the bulletin and verification for future reference. I just bought a 2008 Saturn Vue with 86k
and got concerned when I saw reports of problems.
This Tranny was used in many GM models from Buick, Chevy, Saturn, Pontiac.

The bulletin states regardless of ownership but it only covers failure of the clutch wave plates stated in the bulletin unless that failure causes other problems. Copies of bulletins attached.
The models stated are:
2007-2009 BUICK ENCLAVE,GMC ACADIA,PONTIAC G6, SATURN AURA AND OUTLOOK
2008-2009 CHEVROLET EQUINOX AND MALIBU,PONTIAC TORENT, SATURN VUE
2009 CHREVROLET TRAVERSE.
WITH 6 SPD AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION (6T70 OR 6T75)
