Checking in. I can't count how many times different forums have saved my behind and helped with whatever it was I was working on, puzzled by. I'm glad to have found this one. I'm fond of my Opel wanna be. My 2001 L300 is sick right now. I'm second owner. It was my mom's car. I have done tons of work on it, many hours under that hood, chasing a lousy idle. (Puzzling, the thing runs like a scalded cat) firm, crisp acceleration, idles like crap. Lousy idle ever since I picked it up from mom's place. spent a chunk of money on it, replaced about every bolt on that could affect idle and now it wants to really act up. PO 727, engine speed sensor, U2105, lost communication with an input device, P1780 transmission control switch. PO 300 misfire. Approx 100k on the clock. 25k on the 2nd BCM, Insane compression. 190 -210. Timing belt cover comes off tomorrow. I'm pretty sure it's the OE belt. Been putting that off. Now I have to check and probably replace before the engine becomes a boat anchor. That ought to get the intro done. I'll go to the specific board for the engine. Thanks. Kevin
