New Member with an 07 loaded Aura XR
This is my 3rd Saturn had 2 precious Ions. Busy sorting this car out but what a joy to drive. I have the brown leather interior (forgot what it's called but wow I feel like I'm in a fancy upscale luxury liner) anyway noticed my instrument cluster needles don't light up and from what I read it's usually a circuit board issue versus burnt out bulbs since none of the needles light but everything else works. I purchased a reman. new cluster and it's for a 07 hybrid. The speedo goes up to 220 mph (pretty cool but unlikely unless one pushed said car off a cliff) will it plug and play or will I have an inaccurate speed readout? I was unable to find interchange specs. Also button on drivers door for trunk doesn't do anything only can get in with key fob any suggestions? Thanks J
Check your owner's manual under locks. For an Ion, it describes a "Remote Trunk Release Lockout:" (You may have had this on your Ions but never used it.)
"Your remote trunk release is equipped with a lockout feature. The switch is located on the inside of the trunk lid, mounted to the trunk lid latch. To turn the lockout on, slide the switch to the lock symbol. To turn the lockout off, slide the switch to the unlock symbol. When the lockout is on, the remote trunk release button will not release the trunk lid. However, the trunk lid can still be opened with the key, but not with the keyless entry transmitter."
Also, it's possible that instrument cluster is calibrated in Kph. 220 Kph = about 130 mph.

Thanks! I think the black exterior against the Morocco brown just oozes luxury..
