Hi all,
As this is the new member area, I'm sure you can figure out I'm new here. Picked up a 02 SC2 a few months ago. 180K and paint that is mostly there. Interior is pretty clean. I remember thinking at the time the 3rd door was gimmicky, as I'd had several 2-doors and never found it to be a problem. Now, I have to admit, it is useful. I use it regularly.
Picked this up for a few reasons, one as a backup in case I'm working on my Town Car and something goes wrong, also it'll be something for my 15-year old to learn on and eventually drive. To that end, I've installed a new radio with backup cam in an attempt to "modernize" it a bit, and plan on getting it wrapped.
It's been good to me so far, until the other day when the top radiator hose blew. Changed that easily enough, but then thought I should change all of the other hoses too, and that small nipple on the intake broke. Thankfully, I found this post which lead me to , since I quickly discovered the intake manifold is NLA. Glad to find that!

So far, aside from the radio, I've fixed the ABS light- FR wheel speed sensor, no surprise there, super easy fix. The EVAP code I'm pretty sure is being caused by a faulty tank pressure sensor. Got one but haven't changed it yet, being on top of the tank. There's a nice hole in the exhaust that the previous owner tried to patch before unsuccessfully, I just picked up a piece of pipe for that. Right now though I have more important things to worry about.

Not thrilled with the 6.5" speakers all around, even though they've been upgraded to Kenwoods by the previous owner. Added some sound deadening to the driver door since I had it open, and the rear parcel shelf. Not sure it really did anything. Planning on putting a small powered sub in. Don't want to shake the neighborhood, just give it a little more oomph.

We have two 2002 SC2s - both red.. Both rust free.
(Latest one AZ car) both 5 speed.

Also have two 2001s... Both yellow.

Also a 2002 SL2 and a 96 SC2...

.....

It' s habit forming....
