Need HELP locating vin for BURNT 1996 Saturn SL
I work at a tow yard at I sent a burnt 1996 Saturn SL to junk yard. They are trying to find the vin on the vehicle. The vehicle is a total burn. Any help with figuring out a location where we can locate a vin would really help. Thanks.
It does melt and distort metal however.
Check where the engine meets the transmission. On a lot of earlier Saturns, they were actually mask painting the VIN on the high dollar parts to dissuade chop shops from stealing and parting out the cars.
If the license plate is intact you could trace it backwards that way but since you work at a tow yard I'm sure you already know that but I thought I'd mention it anyway because I realized you worked at a tow yard after I started writing that and I didn't want to waste my sentence halfway through.
Possibly etched on glass on the windows?
If any of my suggestions work out, can I have some free parts for something? Just because.
