Hi, I'm Mike from WNY, just bought an 01 SL2 5speed with 85k on it yesterday. Looking to squeeze as much gas out of it as I can.

Welcome to the forum, Mike. Just take it easy on the gas pedal and try to keep it in as high a gear as you can for your best economy.

You do the same with this car as you would with any car, but when replacing plugs use SATURN or NGK replacement plugs nothing other. When the ETCS needs replacing, use the one you get from the DEALER no other. Replace the ETCS connector at the same time.

Welcome to the forum.

Yup, welcome. 85K is not a bad mileage. Don't worry about squeezing gas on it, change the oil using something at a minimum of 10W30 and if the engine has not started using oil yet it should keep it from it.
