hello
hello all from michigan's upper peninsula. owner of a 2000 sl1 sohc automatic since '96. got it with 107,000 and currently have 228000 . have the weekender tools and skills, and i'm what most people call a cheap **** when it comes to transportation. i've had to replace wheel bearings, (had it done professionally) brake job,(myself) tune up, (myself) atf and filter twice, (myself)) , and numerous oil changes(synthetic), i need wheel bearings again, and am experiencing some shifting problems. i've added a reply to kurmet's post and have yet to receive any help. please give us any advice you can , and have a great weekend. thanks, Roger. ps. i've been averaging 34 mpg in the summer and 28 in the winter. and low maintenance costs overall. gotta love it!
