Hello,
I for the life of me can't find the white bushing to the clutch pedal every place I look says out of stock. I am in fear that the rod will go through the clip and then I am definitely screwed. My clutch will only engages when it is about 2 inches from the floorboard. It engages just fine and the clutch was replaced by the previous owner. Any help or if anyone knows of a comparable part or even if there is a ghetto way to fix it.

2004 Saturn ion III 5spd manual 2.2L 160k miles.

 

There's a sticky in the Ion section in regards to this part. A forum member purchased the entire clutch pedal assembly from Amazon and the bushing was included. Unfortunately, Amazon shows this item (clutch pedal assembly) not available at this time. However, eBay has a bunch of sellers offering the clutch pedal assembly in the $50 to $60 price range. Although most postings have ten or more pictures, none show the area where the bushing is inserted. But you could message one of the sellers to see if the bushing is included, or if they have a bushing available. Good luck!

 

Apparently Amazon also has multiple sellers of the clutch pedal assembly, and the link provided in the sticky is currently out of stock. However, check the others. This one says that it includes the bushing:

I did notice that the Amazon $200 one is out. I'm going to check eBay and ask the seller if it comes with the part. I ended up talking to the previous owner who now has a RL and he is also having clutch issues. He did suggest to me to stay away from all plastic clutch pedal. He had replaced the clutch pedal in his RL and wished he bought the gm partial metal one because it broke on him some time later. Wasn't worth the 30 or so dollars savings for the Chinese part. Anyways. I most definitely will check eBay. I am planing on going to a you pick it junkyard and see as well. Does anyone know if the clutch pedal was used on any other cars if so what years and makes or models.
