Default Beautiful Saturn, Bad Motor

Hello all,
Bought my first Saturn today a 2002, SC2. (Vin 7) blown engine. Engine issues aside, this car is almost immaculant mechanically and in appearance. Tow company delievers it when my garage is cleaned up (Next few days). During final look thru on the car I discovered what broke inside the engine. In a plastic bag on rear floor board was the bottom bracket to one of the connecting rods along with two sheared bolts.

Over the next couple of months I will be doing some serious engine rebuilding (Party time!)

#1 on my short list is to identify the best manual for this. Or a combination of them. Advice is always welcome while I scour the forums looking for what others have used.

Thanks in advance and Woo, Hoo!

I'd drop a low mileage wrecking yard "engine" in it, if it were mine.

Ah yes, Junk yard's. Excellent option!
Not rebuildable, I'm sure you are correct. But since I have more time than money at this moment, it is still worth a look see. Either way, I get to turn a wrench, spend time in my "man cave" have grease from my head to my toe's and best of all, no one will bother me! Ah the good life (again)..

Usually if you can find a bag of internal engine parts on the rear floor of the car, what you have not found yet is the hole in the side of the block they came through. Me thinks the idea of looking for a junk yard motor where all the parts are still inside it is looking better and better.
