Default 2005 Relay tranny issues.

Hello everyone! I'm new to this form and I'm hoping somebody here can help me with my issue. My kids purchased a used 2005 Saturn relay for me after my expedition finally died so basically it was a spur of the moment purchase but they did something nice for their mama. It's going on 6 months now and I'm having issues with the transmission. I have no first gear and the code is saying it's a solenoid issue, but my question is do I need to have the solenoid programmed at the dealer before it goes into the transmission? And is the solenoid physically located in the transmission or is it located near the tranny oil pan? I'd appreciate any help and/or advice or has anyone had this problem before? Thank you very much.

Indeed please post the code itself PXXXX and not the description of the code.

What issues are you having, how many miles on it?
Do you know which engine and transmission it has?

I apologize for the delay in replying and I greatly appreciate you reading my post. The code is P0753 the printout states : this code indicates an electrical fault in shift solenoid "A" for a predetermined period of time.

Those manuals are wonderful. Thank you for the link. The solenoid does not need any programming.

I know I made it a sticky in the general tech section.
I'll have to put it as a sticky under each of the vehicle headings. Not like people actually will look at it, but one can always try. It is indeed exceptionally helpful, Gary.
