So if I change my intake I need to have a shop tune it?

It depends largely on what car you have, and what kind of intake you’re installing...

A DIY short ram or the like on a car that doesn’t use a MAF sensor will likely be fine unless you don’t relocate the IAT sensor...

On a car that uses a MAF, extra care has to be taken to make sure the MAF is located in smooth airflow and if you changed the sampling tube (that the MAF bolts into) itself, be sure to keep the tube size the same, or it will throw off the readings and result in a lean(P0171) or rich (P0172) code, or some other drive ability issue... generally in cases like these it’s best to get a tune if you can...

the issue is that hat a lot of Saturns have NO aftermarket tuning support...

only models that im aware of that can be tuned are:

00-03 L series 2.2
06-07 Ion 2.4
07 Ion 2.2
07-up Aura 2.4, 3.5, and 3.6

Honestly I’d go with the ZZP intake for the Redline if you can find one/can swing it... I have one on my RL(that I’ve been trying on and off to part out) it sounds great and it’s pretty well made... and definitely get tuned after doing an intake on the LSJ, the tune itself can add 10-15whp...

Can't believe he'd run away from a full parts car minus running engine

I think I’d have better luck fixing the car and selling it whole, rather than selling the performance upgrades...
