Default wierd noise when taking off??????

I have a sl2 with traction control its making this loud rubbing/ airplane noise when I take off until around 30-40 up to speed and only does it when I stop and then go again. The sound is coming from the front passenger side and also has tire wear on the outer edge not sure if its related to the noise or not. I am thinking or actually hoping its a bad bearing but, it is not a constant noise just from a stop until up to speed? Any ideas??? possibilities???

First thing I would do, is get the car up on a rack (like at a tire store), and look to see if there's something rubbing on the tire (might also explain the wear).

Since the car is on the rack, swap the tires around, and see if the sound stays at the right front of the car. Let us know what you find .....

Yes, I have an idea. Raise the car up look & listen. We can't see or hear the car from our desks. You could always check the starter soleniod then cover it with "peanutbuttergelly".

indeed do the tire swap

any chance tire wear indicators are showing? They make quite a racket when the tire is worn down that far

If the tire has excessive wear only way out on the edge then chances are the car is significantly out of alignment....

Out of round tires will also make that low rumble at lower speeds
