How''s it going?

I currently have two Saturns, a 97 SC2 and a 00 SL2.
We love both cars. Unfortunately, both transmissions need to be replaced. What luck - both at the same time, and right around Christmas, too.

Anyhow, I''m looking for help to find out what transmissions are interchangeable for both. I''m heading to the salvage yard on Saturday, and I need to know what years I need to look for. Also, if there are any other transmissions compatible, that will help as well.

I appreciate any help that you can give me.

Are both trannys standard or auto or mixed ???

 

Yep, knowing weather they''re automatics or manuals would help greatly.

Manuals are interchangable as long as they come from a DOHC equipped car.

Automatics are pretty much year specific.

Like LowSaturn says ... automatics are year specific.

That limits your searching to the 97 and 00 vehicles. Good luck ...
