Hello,
I just bought a 95 SL2 sedan, the car runs great until I go over 50mph. Once I go over 50mph the steering wheel will rotate from left to right about an inch every 5 seconds or so. Before 50mph the steering wheel is fine.

Do you know what the cause could be?

Check the front tires to see if they have worn funny. Most likely an alignment or wheel balancing problem. You could rotate the front tires to the rear and see if that helps. Also check your lower ball joints and tie rod ends for play.

well i jacked up the car and tried to see if the wheel was loose by pushing on the outside of the tire from all angles and it didnt budge, not loose at all.
