Default Saturn Sc2 2002 get one shot to start then won't

First happened on Christmas day where it dipped to like 20f here. The car will try to start but not turn over unless i give it gas. Recently it has started to give me one shot to start it then it acts completely dead. No lights or nothing in run and won't even click at start. This happens even after running it and will give me anothet chance after maybe 15mins of sitting. I need some help on this one.

Check and clean connections at battery and where other end of negative cable grounds to frame.

Barring poor connection, you probably need a new battery. Since you did not mention a charging light on the dash while the car is running, I will assume that your alternator is trying to charge the battery, but the battery is unable to store the charge.

Marginal batteries may be fine in the 40s 50s 60s etc but as the temperature dips below freezing, the week batteries, meaning those unable to store sufficient charge, make themselves known just like this. The next time you get it started, if you can, safely drive it to AutoZone or similar and ask them to run a charging system load test on it. It's free.

Do not get the absolute lowest grade of any battery brand unless you enjoy getting stranded and changing them often.

I agree with derf. It sure sounds like a weak battery to me, too. A load test is definitely in order.
