Remote start and unlock.
I have an issue that i have been chasing for a while... Remote starters etc.

So on this 07 Vue, it has an old "Solace" remote start system that is causing me substantial issues. I can get the system to learn the remote, but it seems to forget it shortly and nothing seems to work as it should.
What i am thinking is to just pull the damned thing out of the car and replace it with a cheap "Lock/Unlock only" system. I can find anything specced out to direct fir to the vue, but thats not a shock, it should be pretty easy to cross referance with the Solace system if i can find install documentation for it.
Has anyone ever done anything like this? ALternativly, is there a factory system i could pull from a wrecker and retrofit?
Any thoughts are welcome.

 

I suspect there is a solstice remote start on your vue because whoever owned it couldn't find one made specifically for the Vue.
