remote start sticker under hood =help
as i was lookng under the hood today at my 2002 sc2 i noticed a orange sticker the read ":this vehicle equipped with remote start please remove the red wire on the starter or the fuse befor performing work on starting system "something along those lines .
so accourding to the sticker this car has remote start .but my key fob does not .i bought this used so who knows if i got the correct fob .and i only got 1 .
discuss please......do i need a different remote?
how to verify it actually has remote start system??
if it does i would like to get it functioning.

sw2Cam is right -- it never left the factory that way.
The barcode label you show is the serial number of the after-market remote starter system. Systems like this normally require a separate keyfob to operate. Factory keyfob's won't get it done. You are going to have to do some "sherlocking" under the hood, under the dash, and possibly in the trunk of your new (to you) vehicle, looking for a non-standard package. Once you find it, there's a good chance that the manufacturer's name will be on the box.
Armed with the manufacturer and the serial number, you should be able to contact the people that make the remote system, and purchase a fob from them .... good luck.
Of course, all of the above assumes that the original owner didn't remove the start system prior to the sale .......

i can get a key fob for it for under 30 bucks shipped on ebay so its not gonna break the bank to test it .
