MPG problem
Hi guys, I have a 2003 L200 with almost 133k miles on it. Over the last couple years my mpg's has steadily decreased. At around 110k, I took it in for repair as it was running really rough and had no power. As it turned out, the catalytic converter was extremely plugged. New converter and viola, she ran like it was new again. As soon as I got it home, I replaced the spark plugs, thinking that I was getting a poor burn in the cylinders. Now, I am noticing that it is getting doggy again and my MPG is right at about 20. At best I remember getting 26 MPG. I'm thinking now that I may have a fuel injector problem, leading to plugging the newish converter.
I'm wondering if anyone has had similar experience with their L200 and what was the cause/cure? Also, what should I expect from this vehicle in terms of MPG, given optimum operating circumstances?
Thanks a bunch! Eyepod
