This morning when my girlfriend shut off her 2002 LS1, the bright lights stayed on. Turning on and off the switch and dimmer switch does nothing. Has anyone else ever encountered this?

Just to follow up, I disconnected the battery and left it all day so the car would start. After reconnecting it, there has been no problem. (so far anyway)

Similar problem with the running lights on my ''98 SL1.Have you had any more issues with the lights and if so, how did you resolve it? I''ve just pulled the headlight fuses to avoid running the battery down.

more than likely if the problem resolved itself it was watter in the system conecting the circut i had it happen with the horn on my old truck. however since the battery was dissconected then the computer was reset. but i doubt that somthing like was programing erors

well i know general motors has a problem with their drl(day time running lights). i had a 96 grand am gt that was supope to have auto lights at night and the high beams on in the day for drl, but at night only the park lights would come on and i would have to turn on the headlights manualy. also during the day there was no drl and sometimes the fog lights would turn themselves on and off instead...
