Hi guys I got a noob question for ya. I just installed a new audio system in my 98 sc2, I screwed up and attached dimmer wire to wrong wires on the deck and now my instrument panel light doesnt work. I took it in to the audio guy he fixed the deck wiring and said he checked all the fuses and there fine. I can't find the fuse in my owners book, cause I don't believe he checked it. I really need to get it workin again cause my wife is complaining, she drives it home at night from work. Any help will really be appreciated! Its the whole backlight to the instrument panel if u know what I mean.

I believe that that there should be a 5A DIM fuse in the IP junction block (fuse panel, passenger's side of center console).

It is also possible that you have burned up the variable resistor inside the dimmer switch itself. Use a multimeter to check for a non-infinite resistance across the two terminals of the switch (with the wires disconnected), and that the resistance reading changes when you turn the dimmer ****.
