I have a 2000 Saturn LW Wagon V6.

Once in awhile when I'm driving -- always in the daytime, so far -- I get this weird problem. It seems to start the first time I use the turn signal. My headlights will start flashing on and off. And it seems to be my high beams because the high beam indicator light on the dash lights up each time the headlights flash on.

Sometimes if I stop the car and turn it off, then re-start it, the problem goes away. But not always.

I have noticed if I press forward on the turn signal lever and hold it there, the lights stop flashing. Sometimes if I hold it there long enough, then I can release it and the problem has gone away. But not always.

Does this sound like a bad turn signal/headlights switch? Or any other ideas?

Indeed-- sounds like the combo switch is defective.

This is the only thing it could be.
