Hi all, I bought my 06 Saturn vue a few weeks ago, second hand. It now has 20k on it and there is a trouble light on " Engine Icon". As I did not get any manuals with the car I am not sure what it means. It seems to run just fine. Is it for scheduled maintenance? Or is it something that need attention?

Is it a picture of an engine or a pictur of an engine with a down arrow in the center?

If its just an icon of the engine then an emissions related fault has occurred and vehicle service is required. Some auto parts stores will check the codes for free.

If its an icon of an engine with the down arrow, it means Reduced Engine Power.

Ok, well today I started the car to drive it over to auto zone to check out the error codes and the Engin Icon is gone.??? And it was just an engine Icon, should I persue this further? O6 Saturn Vue V6
