EGR conversion
I am in the middle of changing a motor in my 1996 Saturn 1.9 DOHC and the engine that i got has a vacuum EGR and my car is set up for an electronic EGR. I was told that there is a conversion plate that needs to be used so the electronic EGR valve with work on the motor that had the vacuum EGR. I have called Saturn & the part is discontinued. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Rob
nope...the engine that i am removing is set up for an electronic EGR valve & the motor that is going into the car has a vacuum EGR. i need to convert the new motor to the electric EGR valve & the holes do not line up. i talked to the saturn dealership & they said there was an adaptor plate, but it was discontinued a couple of years ago.
thanks for the help....
I have a LOT of those adaptor plates. They were only on 1994 DOHC''s with California emissions. I pick them up when I go to the wrecking yards.
I sell them for $40 which includes Priority Mail shipping. Saturn used to sell them for $120+. If you still need one, contact me.

I really should pull the ones I have out of the parts cleaner and see how many I have. I put them in there as soon as I get them to get all the carbon off of them. I''ve been coming across a lot of 94''s at the yards lately.
The members on some of the other forums know I have these things. I dont even have to advertise them. Every once and a while $40 will show up in my PayPal account and I''ll ship it out.
