Exclamation Delayed Startup Solved

2003 Saturn lw300
3.0 6 cylinder
123K

No codes on scanner.
Startup not immediate when turning ignition key so here's what I do:

Turn key to ON
Count 5 bells ( yes, I hear the fuel pump hum loud and clear)
Crank engine and car car STARTS right up every time.

At 15 years old this car isn't worthy of investing hundreds.

Checked out many suggestions, all have panned negative results so I've decided to drive the car as is. ( BCM, Passlock, Fuel Pump Relay, Fuel Pump, Plugs etc)

Sometimes you've just gotta drive the damn machine until it won't drive any more.

Hope this helps someone with a similar problem

Sounds like a weak fuel pressure regulator to me, BUT, I'm NOT a mechanic, so just keep doing what you're doing and drive it like you stole it.

"Drive it like you stole it"

I'd just as soon somebody steal it from me. I'm trying to sell the car but haven't gotten a nibble.
Only 123 K and drives beautifully ( once I get it going )
Any takers in the Greater Boston North shore are?

My key turn indicator is when the Service light goes out on my 97.
Whatever works.
