custom cargo liner for sw2?
Hi,
I work for an outdoor school and we just bought two '01 SW2's. I've been in the process of pinning down some good quality rubber mats for them, and for floor mats the Weathertechs seem right on.
With cargo mats, I'm having a harder time. We do a lot of transporting (food, animals, ect.) so I want something with rubber with raised ridges...BUT, the only ones I've found are custom fit *for behind the 2nd seat.*
What I want, is something that will lay out over a folded down backseat, which I can prop up against it when it's up. I've been trying to find a comparably-sized mat custom made for another car (hard, because many mat dealers don't know their sizes plus the saturn is quite narrow.)
My latest idea is to use two of these behind-2nd-seat mats and fuse them together somehow (glue, most likely).
Any bright ideas?
thanks,.

strategically located velcro on the bottom of the mats and velcro on the seat backs should allow them to stay attached to the seat backs when upright, provided the mat is flexible enough and can bend without eventual stress failure.
You also might consider a custom piece for the wagon area and two custom pieces for the seat backs so the liner will not have to fold. You could then have the wagon floor piece slightly overlap the seat back pieces when down so there is no gap -- maybe some snaps to latch it together when down.....

From what you describe, it seems that you are aware of when you will need the custom piece for the cargo area so that a piece of vinyl flooring could be cut to fit, and rolled into a tube when not in use ... just a thought
