Hi people, my son in law just picked up a '94 Saturn w/ 1.9L dual overhead cam engine. He has to get it smogged for California registration. I never had a Saturn and do not have a service manual yet. I pretty much do all repairs to my own vehicles. What I need to know is where the CCV orifice is located as I am checking all related sensors and smog valves before he brings it in for testing. Save him some money. Any help would be appreciated.

 

recommendation -- if it aint acting up, don't mess with it -- may cost more in the end

hook up an ODBII scanner with an ODBI adapter or do the paper clip A to B for code checks.

 

Will get adapter today. Just trying to eliminate all the gremlins that I can.

 

I hate acronyms, what is a CCV? It might not even have one.

 

As manufacturers have a tendancy to identify generic parts with there own unique abbreviations and names in order to classify thier particular cars as special, looking up that abreviation in my service literature indicates there isn't one.
Whatsit supposed to do, I can check by function.
