Hi, just wondering if any of you guys has encountered the same problem that I am having. Whenever I put the car in reverse, say i am parallel parking, if i just "touch" the gas pedal, rpm drops then the car would stall. This would happen like once in three times. Any suggestions??? It would do the same thing when the car is in "drive", rpm drops but has never stalled, yet...Edited by: dannyy72

can you get it into reverse at all? or does it always stall? if the trans was having issues, pulling it into R would bog the motor down so much that it would stall it...it could also be an electrical issue

I can put the car in reverse no problem, it's just that when I actually begin reversing, it would sometimes stall.

It may be an iac motor problem. if youhold the rpms at say 1300-1400but keep your foot on the brake put it in revand ease off the brake slowly does it still stall or are we now going backwards?
