Broken timing belt

2003 Saturn Vue 3.0 V-6 with a broken timing belt. Is this a interference motor? Should I call it quits before I order a new belt and alignment tool? Thanks for the help

Yes its an interference engine.
Did it break at idle or going down the road ?
You should assume some damage.
Only inspection will show how much.

It will have bent valves on both heads. I have an engine in the same condition. 110,000 miles and a broken original belt. It was a great parts car.

Curious as to how many miles are on it ?
Had the belt been changed before ?
