Hi folks first time on this forum, and I'm glad its around. My girlfriend has a 1998 SL1 and the transmission is doing that classic problem many people have with not wanting to shift right (it is an automatic). It high revs when you first start the car, slams into revs, and when accel. forward it won't shift up then slams hard into 2nd gear. I believe this is a problem with the shift silonoid/park-rev switch/park-netural switch as this is what I've most commonly seen posted about. We took it to Autozone for their tester and it came up with I believe the PO708 code which they don't sell that part and you can only get it at a Saturn dealer. When I called Saturn they said the part is $75 but would have to test the car as well another $75 and then to put it on "IF" that is the problem is 1 shop hour... you guessed it another $75 so bam $225 for 30 minutes of their time.... I was hopeing someone on this site might be able to show me a pic of this piece and where its located in the engine bay.on the trans.
