Hello all, I'm a month away from a 2500+ mile move. I'm planning on driving my '94 Saturn SC2 DHOC, auto trans, 99k. My dad and I are arguing about the maintenance that should be completed before the long drive, specifically, what to do with the transmission fluid.I bought the car used a year ago with 93k miles. I've not changed the transmission fluid since buying it, and the color leads me to believe it hasn't been changed in a long time (60k+ probably). The transmission currently shifts up and down just fine, no slips, hesitation, or clunking. I will not do a transmission flush, but what are your thoughts on completing a fluid drain/refill and filter change on a higher mileage vehicle when the fluid has not been touched in so long? Thanks.
