Default 6.5 to 6x9 possible?

Im ok with the 6.5s in the doors, but i dont think they will put out much bass in the rear. Is there any way to put 6x9s in the back? I know there are adapters for other speaker sizes...just cant find one for 6.5 to 6x9. I will eventually get some subs...so i guess it really wouldnt matter...but until then.

Previous owner had sony xplod 6x9s, the same that are sold in walmart jarred into the slots but i want something that wont rattle when the music is up. I tried to remove them to see what size the holes were and ended up breaking the tweeters off the speakers.

I believe it is, you would have to do some cutting though to make it fit. Its easier to get some nice 6.5s. some of them can push out some bass - especially when you go into 2 and 3 way models.

There were these nice looking kickers i saw awhile ago, but you can only find them online now. They would probably sound pretty good until you got subs. http://www.amazon.com/Kicker-DS650-6.../dp/B000ZM38S4

These also look very, very nice.

Thats good, if your putting in subwoofers anyway it drowns out the back speakers, so you can put a cheaper/older pair back there.

When I got new door speakers I migrated the older aftermarket door speakers into the rear

what I did was use some Alpine 6x9's in the rear after some cutting and I have not decided on my front speakers yet with a Sony XPlode head unit and Rockford amp and a 10" sub It will really sound good even with the factory front speakers until they break and that won't take long. Some young kids were impressed with my primitive setup and how well it sounded,I am an older guy but I like my music. fwit

You may need to have some cutting to make it fit, you can try Infinity REF-9623ix 6x9 car speaker.
