I need to know how to remove the rear door panel in a SW1, 1999. I have popped out the power window control box but how do I get the handle to let go? I've removed all screws and the panel is loose around the edges.

You have to pop out the plastic around the handle first. My SW2 (1999) has a couple of plastic pins and then slides slightly forward or aft to clear the handle. After removing that, the panel simply lifts up to get it off the door.

I have a SW2 (1997) and jsuppok I did everything you've done as far as the handle goes, but I had a hard time getting that handle through the panel. So, what I have done was disconnect the rods to the handle, which made the handle free and everything waseasy from then on out. If there's an easier way, please detail us in. The disconnecting of the rods behind the handle was a pain in the butt. But it was doable and didn't take very long at all.

Thanks. I had to remove the rods from the handle also. One was easy but the other was more difficult. I just hope I can get it back together when I'm ready. smileys/smiley3.gif
