Mastercraft MC-440 review...

I bought a set of these for my Taurus in a 205/60-16. I believe they are H speed rated. So far, they have good grip on clean asphalt, don't squirm around in the wet, and resist aquaplaning somewhat well. They even are half decent in snow, or at least when mounted on my heavy boat, lol... They were $66 each installed by my local tire shop(the reason I got them).

I will update as my opinion changes, or they wear out...

I've got a set of Mastercraft tires on my Grand Caravan. No complaints at all. I kinda like the tire. I may see about putting a set on my Chrysler 200 when I need them.

Honestly, most times I'm rolling on a Mastercraft tire, unless the vehicle comes with something else, or I buy used tires. The one time I didn't buy Mastercraft, I sorely regretted it...I bought a Yokohama all season(AVID ENVigor), and they made my old car completely worthless in snow...

Yeah, I've got Goodyear VivaII's on my 200 right now, but I'll probably have to replace them some time this summer. I might give my tire man a call and see what kind of price he can give me on some new Mastercrafts. Probably won't be as cheap as you got yours since I'm running 17's.

Depending on what size, mind you, you would be shocked. For my Ranger, if I had 17 inch wheels instead of 15 inches the tires could be as much as $40 cheaper, each!

and mind you, this is maintaining rolling diameter and a respectable width, too(245/45-17 vs 235/60-15)

MasterCraft, never heard of them.

Never heard? Hmm... Maybe they aren't popular in AZ... Then again, Unc mentioned a couple brands I never heard of...
