The premise behind the Armorall myth is the fact that they are petroleum based products. Theory is that eventually petroleum products break down the plastics/Vinyls (also petroleum based). I don't mind Armorall, but I don't like the real high gloss look.

But this engine...schweet! That's my next step on my car. Have to do a good degreasing on her and take my 303 to her.

That looks great! Agree with the use of Amorall, I use it all the time and really have not had a problem with it and here in Phoenix, heat and UV are murder. If things are really dirty there is a very good cleaner avialable from Harbor Freight that is also Bio-degradable. The best I have used is SPRAY Nine;

a Canadian Product I believe and available here in the states. The Harbor Freight product is 2nd best of all that I have used.
Well, 87 Octane works pretty good too, you just have to be careful about smoking around it.

I use spray nine on everything, including my wheels. They make another awesome product called Grez-off that helped de grease most of my transmission swap.
